Following your medical aesthetic treatment your Cosmetic Nurse will discuss the following after care advice:
Avoid any form of rigorous or sweat inducing exercise for 24 hours post treatment. Mild walking is okay.
Avoid applying any make-up for a minimum of 24-48 hours to minimise the risk of infection.
Avoid the use of active cosmeceuticals for a minimum of 24-48 hours to minimise the risk of skin irritation.
It is essential that you refrain from lying down for a minimum of 4 hours following anti-wrinkle or applying pressure to treated area to prevent the medication migrating to an untreated area.
Refrain from using saunas or swimming pools for 48 hours.
Initial results following wrinkle relaxing treatments may been seen in 2-3 day however please allow up to 2 weeks for full results.
Bruising, swelling, redness and tenderness are common side effects following medical aesthetic treatments. Arnica cream or LED treatment may help speed up recovery time of bruising.
If you are prone to cold sores please discuss this at your appointment so we can suggest an anti-viral medication.
Cool compresses may be used to soothe discomfort following dermal filler, fat dissolving and mono threads treatments,

24 Hours Post-Treatment
Avoid touching the treated area to minimise any risk of infection.
Wash your hands before you touch your face.
Do not wash your face or apply any skincare products for 4-6 hours. Do not apply any make up for atleast 24 hours.
Avoid exercise that causes sweating.
2-3 Days Post-Treatment
Avoid using any active skincare products (Exfoliants, Retinol and Vitamin C)
Avoid swimming, sauna and spa environments.
2-4 Weeks Post-Treatment
Avoid exposing the treated areas to sunlight and UV light.
Refrain from undergoing procedures like peels, laser treatments, cosmetic tattoos and waxing.
Important Information
If you experience any prolonged tenderness, pain that needs to be managed with relief, unusual bruising, an allergic reaction, itching or rash, contact the clinic for a clinical review.
