Your Cosmelan journey
Cosmelan is a two-phase treatment combining an in-clinic mask with an at-home maintenance programme — each step designed to correct and then regulate melanin production.
1
Consultation & skin analysis
We assess your skin type, pigmentation concerns and treatment suitability. Your personalised depigmentation plan is created here at The Luxe Nurse Clinic in Brighton Le Sands.
2
In-clinic Cosmelan mask (Phase 1)
The Cosmelan 1 mask is professionally applied in clinic and worn for 6–12 hours depending on your skin type and sensitivity. It begins the active correction process, targeting deep pigmentation.
3
At-home maintenance (Phase 2)
After removing the mask at home, you'll use the Cosmelan 2 cream to reinforce results, regulate melanin production and prevent pigmentation from returning.
4
Visible transformation
Skin begins to peel within 2–3 days as it renews. Over the following weeks you'll notice a brighter, more even complexion — with continued improvement over 1–3 months.
Common questions
The in-clinic appointment takes approximately 60 minutes including consultation, skin prep and mask application. You'll wear the mask for 6–12 hours before removing it at home. The at-home Phase 2 programme continues for several weeks following your appointment.
Yes — mild redness, sensitivity and peeling are normal within the first 2–3 days following treatment as your skin renews. Most clients plan for a few days of downtime before returning to normal activities. The peeling is part of the correction process.
Visible improvement in skin tone typically begins within the first few weeks following treatment. Results continue to develop over 1–3 months as melanin production is regulated and the skin fully renews.
The mask application itself is comfortable. Some clients experience mild tingling or warmth during the wearing period. The treatment is non-invasive and does not require any injections or incisions.
Cosmelan is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. If you have used Accutane within the past 6 months, or have recently had another peel or laser therapy, your skin will need adequate time to heal before proceeding. A full consultation is always conducted prior to treatment.
Daily SPF is essential throughout treatment and maintenance. Cosmelan is formulated to be sun-friendly, so you can continue an active lifestyle — however protecting your results with diligent sun care is crucial to preventing re-pigmentation.
Individual results may vary. Cosmelan is a professional treatment administered by a Registered Nurse. A full skin assessment will be conducted prior to treatment to confirm suitability. This page is for informational purposes only and does not constitute medical advice.
